Lighthouses and Winery Tour East
5 hrs. $500
After a short tour of the historic city center of Charlottetown the tour makes it
way down east where you will be able to explore several Island lighthouses.
The first stop will be at the Point Prim lighthouse overlooking the beautiful
Norththumberland Strait. Build in 1846, one of the few
brick lighthouses.
The tour continues to Wood Islands Lighthouse - this 54
ft tower has a spectacular 360-degree view of
picturesque historic coastal scenery, a working fishing
port and a ferry terminal. You’ll also have a chance to
explore the 124-year-old interpretive center for P.E.I.
Lighthouses.
A visit to Rossignol Estates Winery, the Island’s only eastern winery, vineyard
and art gallery in a rural setting with a
panoramic view of the Northumberland Strait.
The perfect setting to sample fine local
vintages. Along the way view a variety of
different landscapes including coastal cliffs
and beaches, forests, rolling farmland, pastoral
rivers and the ever-present sea. You learn
about our three major industries, agriculture,
fishery and tourism as well as the history of our Island.
Then a scenic drive to the town of Montague, as we return to Charlottetown.
